- DC DESKTOP AUTO v1.0a (01-11-91)
-
- DC DESKTOP AUTO is Copyright (c) 1990,1991 Double Click Software
-
- Program by Keith Gerdes
-
-
- - Addendum to DCD_AUTO.DOC.
-
- - This archive must be distributed in its entirety.
-
- - NOTE: The only files that have been updated or added are
- - DCD_AUTO.PRG and README.10A.
-
- ----------
- The included file DCD_AUTO.PRG is an update to DCD_AUTO v1.0 which was
- released on December 21, 1990.
-
- *
- Clarification:
-
- BOOTUP TIMEOUT
-
- - Configurable from 0-9
- 0 = no timeout/infinite wait, you must use the mouse button or a keypress
- to exit
- 1-9 = number of seconds to wait for a keypress or mouse movement before the
- program is aborted and no DC Desktop modules run
-
- *
- Added feature:
-
- DCD_AUTO execution configuration
-
- A new alert has been added after BOOTUP TIMEOUT giving you options for the
- running of DCD_AUTO:
-
- => How would you like DCD_AUTO to execute? [ Run or Bypass ] <=
-
- The "saved" option is indicated by the high-lighted/default (wider outlined)
- button in the alert.
-
- 1) Run
- DCD_AUTO executes "normally". See USING DCD AUTO in DCD_AUTO.DOC.
-
- 2) Bypass
- When DCD_AUTO runs, only the text menu will be printed; then, the program
- will terminate and clear the screen. NO DC Desktop modules will be run.
- You may press one of these keys to modify the Bypass operation:
- [ no pun intended ;) ]
- a] Undo
- Abort bypass of DCD_AUTO and run it. See (1) above.
-
- b] Help
- After DCD_AUTO terminates, run the "Last Used" DC Desktop modules.
- This is similar to Running DCD_AUTO and then pressing the Help key,
- but a little faster.
-

- Bug fixes:
-
- 1) Low color resolution sytem bootup
- DCD_AUTO now properly switches itself to medium resolution. An oversight
- was made in 1.0 that would give a "mixture" of parameters from both
- low and medium resolutions- that is what I get for having a executable
- boot sector which switches to medium rez.
-
- 2) Mode indicator low and medium color resolutions
- Now, the previous color resolution bootup is correctly indicated in the Mode
- section. DCD_AUTO.DAT was not being read to get the saved resolution
- parameter. (ie If you run DC Desktop in low resolution, then the next time
- DCD_AUTO is executed "Low" will be correctly indicated.)
